Thrill Laboratory is dedicated to the practical pursuit of creating, producing, and examining new forms of thrilling experience. It is a fluid organisation of artists, designers, engineers, scientists, and technologists all of whom have a passion for experimentation. Thrill Laboratory is founded and directed by Thrill Engineer Professor Brendan Walker.
Thrill Laboratory aim to create temporary site-specific installations, which play with people, place, and time; weaving 21st century themes of digital technology, science, and popular entertainment, to create public spectacle, with equal measures of anxiety of humour. Fluxus artist Ken Friedman described the practice of Thrill Laboratory as a contemporary development of their experimental 'happenings'.
