IN SITU is recruiting an apprentice to support the team in administration, and coordination.
Under the responsibility of the IN SITU Coordinator, the apprentice will be responsible for assisting the Coordination team with the various tasks involved in the monitoring of the IN SITU's current project (UN)COMMON SPACES. She/he will work closely with the team composed by a Coordination, an Administration and a Communication officer. He/she will have tasks defined according to the priorities of the project. The post is currently envisaged for a period of 12 months, until the end of the current project, which runs until the end of 2024. A one-year extension on a potential new project is possible.
With the administrative officer
Support in processing expenditure files: verification of financial and accounting documents in conjunction with IN SITU partners with regard to European Commission regulations.
Assisting with the budgetary and contractual monitoring of project activities.
With the coordination officer
Logistical and production support in connection with travel by the coordination team, members and artists: travel bookings, preparation of documents relating to missions.
Assistance with monitoring activities: monitoring the IN SITU festival calendar, collecting quantitative and qualitative data from members and processing responses.
Putting data online and running the IN SITU intranet.
Other missions
Monitoring the design and updating of communication tools: website, social networks.
General support for the team in implementing Lieux publics' international projects.
Person Specification: Master’s degree, knowledge of the cultural sector (performing, visual arts), project management, budgetary and administrative logic, fluent in English, ability to work with computer tools (Excel, Premiere, Photoshop, Indesign, video & sound editing, Web and social networks), writing skills, synthetic skills, versatility.
Dates: Applications open until the 30th of June 2023. Beginning of the contrat in September 2023.
Conditions: job based in Marseille at la Cité des arts de la rue (225 avenue Ibrahim Ali), 35 hours per week, occasional travels in Europe. Only the applications in the frame of an Apprenticeship contract with a university will be considered.

Historically the first national creation centre in France, Lieux publics is accredited as a CNAREP (Centre National des Arts de la Rue et de l'Espace Public) and a European production centre by the French Ministry of Culture. In 2022, the structure entered a new era, redefining the contours of its project and merging with ApCAR, the Association pour la Cité des Arts de la Rue.

IN SITU is the European platform for artistic creation in public spaces. This large-scale European cooperation project, Creative Europe, has been supported by Lieux publics since 2003. The current cooperation project (UN)COMMON SPACES began in 2020 and will end in 2024.
