IN SITU is recruiting an apprentice to support the team in administration, coordination and communication.

Missions

The apprentice will be under the responsibility of the Director of European and International Relations, as well as the coordination, administration and communication officers of the IN SITU team. She/he actively contributes to the implementation of the artistic and cultural project of Lieux publics, within the frame of the IN SITU’s cooperation project as well as for the other international activities.


With the administrative officer 

Participate in the invoice processing: check financial and accounting documents of the IN SITU partners, in accordance with European Commission regulations, digitisation and classification of invoices, assistance with budgetary and contractual monitoring of activities. 


With the coordination officer 

Participate in the logistics and production: events & travels of the coordination team, partners and artists (travel bookings, preparation of mission-related documents). 

Participate in the monitoring of activities: IN SITU festival calendar, quantitative and qualitative information from partners, online data and IN SITU intranet. 


With the communication officer

Participate in the design and updating of communication tools: website, social networks, video content, writing of internal communication documents, development of the IN SITU intranet.

 

Person Specification: Master’s degree, knowledge of the cultural sector (performing, visual arts), project management, budgetary and administrative logic, fluent in English, ability to work with computer tools (Excel, Premiere, Photoshop, Indesign, video & sound editing, Web and social networks), writing skills, synthetic skills, versatility. 

 

Conditions: job based in Marseille, 35 hours per week, occasional travels in Europe

Lieux publics

Lieux publics, National and European Centre for artistic creation in public place (CNAREP & Pôle européen de production), is based at la Cité des arts de la rue in Marseille. Supported by the French Ministry of Culture, City of Marseille, Conseil régional Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Conseil départemental des Bouches-du-Rhône, Lieux publics is managed by the artist Pierre Sauvageot. Lieux publics leads IN SITU, the European platform for artistic creation in public space, a project co-funded by the European Union since 2003, with over 20 European partners. 

Annual average budget: €3 M (including the European part). 15 permanent employees, 23 full-time equivalents. 1 residency centre. Lieux publics hosts and coproduces about twenty companies in residence every year. It distributes creations and/or events in Marseille and the region and produces and tours of the director’s creations in France and Europe. Lieux publics provides general coordination of IN SITU, the European platform for artistic creation in public space. 


IN SITU 

IN SITU is an ecosystem designed to structure the sector of artistic creation in public space, support its artists and connect art with society. The new cooperation project (UN)COMMON SPACES 2020-2024 begun in November 2020.
