The glorification of masculine strength has historically tended towards a celebration of war, aggression and violence – whether in tales of ancient gods, soldiers or athletes. Thor is a well-known personification of this, with superhero status. In a time that questions this stereotype of masculinity, how can we produce new representations of men?
