with 'Happiness'

Are we moving towards a world where we can be euphoric on cue and where our emotions can be programmed to suit?

Dries Verhoeven's installation consists of a small concrete building that, with a little imagination, is reminiscent of a pharmacy. In fact, a humanoid female robot talks blithely about the substances we can use to alter our dopamine and serotonin levels. Happiness deals with the artificial "happiness" that is available to us through synthetic substances. Alternatively, these can help maximize our humanity or give it up.
