Marco Barotti creates his own 'tech ecosystem' of moving sculptures using audio technology, consumer goods and waste material. The sound sculpture 'Moss' is, quite literally, a wall of moss that comes to life through the input of data from the World Air Quality Index, which constantly tracks air quality all over the world. The figures are transformed into a dynamic soundscape and a breathing pattern for the sculpture. The viewer is graphically drawn into the discussion about air quality on a global level.
