text description

Johannes Schrettle is a Graz (Austria) based performer and writer. He is focussed on the creation of sight specific performances at the interface between movement and language. In 2017, Johannes Schrettle and Christina Lederhaas (performer) founded the collective Workinglifebalance Ltd.

Loneliness is a global issue: cities can be overwhelming places, full of people, but often that doesn't prevent the inhabitants from feeling alone in them. The "This city’s loneliness" project is inspired by this contemporary symptom of big city life. Designed for public space, the project aims to reconnect people through the use of participatory formats and a choreographic performance.

This interview took place in November 2019 during an IN SITU Atelier in Norwich (UK), hosted by IN SITU partner Norfolk & Norwich Festival.
