Olivier Grossetête is a unique artist, specialised in construction work of the mind. His fleeting cities are life-size cities made of cardboard that come to life thanks to the collective energy of residents. The Fleeting City seeks to break down traditional power symbols in the city, establish new codes and bring people together in an open and utopic project where they can dream up a new city.
This broad European community of builders boasts participants aged 7 to 77, from Norwich, Graz, Glasgow, Košice, Marseille and beyond. In their simple way, they help to repair the social relationships that are crumbling in major cities. It’s another way of living together.
