Artistic project

In Echoes of Silence, we dive through the surface of the echo and wonder about its alternating meaning as space, myth, resource and reality. Here we enter Echo, a causality of the current Mediterranean backroad that creates mass movement in a multilateral meeting. We challenge the Eurocentric and patriarchal strain of the word by turning the spotlight on hydrofeminist choreographic tools that carry, gather, infiltrate and confront frequencies from the echoes of the Mediterranean backroads. The work takes place on various beaches in Oslo, Barcelona, Tangier, Banjul and Dakar in the spring of 2025 in a sensuous hybrid of silent protest, cleansing ritual and Hz frequencies choreographed by dance artist Amie Mbye.
