Jihed Blagui and Mohamed Ali Cherif are two young Tunisian performer-choreographers who share a research laboratory. Drawing from real events, hidden elements, or unspoken truths, they seek to defy the logic of time and space, crafting a dreamlike, unstable, fluid, and abstract universe.
Influenced by both hip-hop and contemporary dance, they have forged a choreographic language that blends raw physicality with fluid abstraction. Their movement practice explores the tension between control and spontaneity, precision and chaos, drawing from urban energy and contemporary experimentation.
As musicians, live music production becomes a visceral extension of their artistic practice, a pulse that breathes within their movement. Composed in real-time during performances, the music emerges as an organic force, shaping and being shaped by the body. Sound and movement merge in an ever-shifting interplay of rhythm and texture, dissolving boundaries between the audible and the physical. In this fluid exchange, dance and music coalesce into a raw, evolving language.
In a world that seems devoid of meaning, two men meet and find themselves trapped in an unstable and contradictory reality.
Between dream and reality, inclusion and rejection, acceptance and isolation, they strive to move forward despite the invisible boundaries that rise before them.
Their movements reveal the constant tension of this space, where the borders between the tangible and the imaginary blur, confronting obstacles that only their inner gaze can perceive.
