Drawing on this famous quotation, Stars on Stairs aims to metamorphose a monumental staircase by a number of different means: altering its appearance by covering it with squares of turf, bringing it to life through numerous choreographic and graphic movements performed by professionals, creating a ritual and participatory meeting where anyone and everyone can be a hero for a day. There are 1,001 ways of playing with this recurrent element of European urban architecture.
