Naja Lee Jensen has a BA in Acting from Norwegian Theatre Academy and an MA in Fine Arts from the Art Academy in Oslo (NO).

Naja Lee Jensen occupies the in-between space between stage art and fine art. Her interest is directed towards the relationship between perception, body and space.

In 2018, she did a residency at Metropolis in Copenhagen (DK). During this time Naja Lee Jensen researched the contextual role of the artist and the role of art in public space. What is the connection between art and space, art and society, art and politics when working in public space? What strategies do artists use when working with art in public space? And what values are connected to art in public space, if any, from the artist, the organisers, politicians, audience?

The international Residency programme

To produce works that reflect the local context or that are inspired by other contexts and involve the audience, artists need to immerse themselves deeply into the local environment. This is the basis behind a new residency programme under IN SITU ACT (2016-2020).
