The Zéro Degré project grew out of research centred on the new art form of freerunning, the art of urban movement, an acrobatic discipline similar to parkour. The “path runners” from the French Freerun Family defy the laws of gravity as they run, climb, jump, and fly from roof to roof. They crisscross the city, leaving striking traces that paint it in a new light. With staging by Aurélien Nadaud, videos by Vincent Giannesini, music by Cyril Fayard and the itinerant storytelling of Julien Marchaisseau, freerunning is taken to a new level, replacing improvisation with all the makings of a monumental show.
